PHOENIX - Brandon Brown, 5’11 PG- who graduated in 2015, led Neuchatel to a 2-point victory over the league leading Lugano Tigers (2-0), 97-95, in the Swiss SBL in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game after Brown recorded 26 points and six assists, while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line, in 31 minutes. Brown is averaging 25.3 PPG, 3.0 APG, and 2.7RPG; an impressive showing, with it only being his second season in Pro Basketball. It was the “Game of the Round” between two ‘Top-4’ teams; Union Neuchatel Basket (11-5) is placed third in the SBL. Their win over Lugano is their third consecutive, in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season, so every game will be critical from here- onward.

Steven Green, 6’5 Forward (2013-2015), plays for the opposing Lugano Tigers. Despite not seeing minutes against his former teammate, Brandon Brown. Green, the former Northern Arizona Sun, has managed a positive role in the Tigers offense, averaging a healthy 20.7 PPG and 3.6 RPG.

Derreck Brooks, 6'6 Guard from the Class of 2014, could not help his Portuguese team Terceira over the hump against #9-ranked Illiabum. Despite the loss, Brooks recorded a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds. This season Brooks has very high stats. He averages 19.9ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.3apg and 1.2spg.

Quinton Johnson, 6’6 Forward from the 2017 class, has found his second-chance playing for Zonkeys de Tijuana. He is currently averaging 11.4 PPG and 6.0 RPG, while playing around 22 minutes-per-game. His Free-Throw percentage is second-best of the team with 81.3%.
